The main lever through which Conscious Capitalist Group Foundation plans to reduce intergenerational poverty is through our Beyond the Walls Re-Entrepreneurship Program. (B.W.R.P.) focuses on youth who come in contact with the juvenile justice system who are in need of an alternative approach to learning. This program is currently running year-round. It gives youth the opportunity to build and sustain passion based projects, learn the fundamentals of business, and receive training in financial responsibility. It involves basic problem solving simulations and case studies that will help them gain knowledge of what day to day operations look like as a business owner. The program also includes mentoring, professional development, social responsibility and community engagement.
The Youth Social Entrepreneurship Leadership Academy (Y.S.E.L.A.) runs in classrooms, after school programs, youth camps, college campuses, and community centers. It provides opportunity youth with a semester-long comprehensive educational training on social entrepreneurship. These youth learn how to take societal issues they are passionate about and turn them into social enterprises that add value to their communities. They also receive assistance in transitioning to postsecondary education or the workforce. The training includes guest speakers, workshops, and field trips to local businesses. Participants gain a wide array of skills including team building, leadership, career development, social innovation, business sustainability and community engagement.
