The main lever through which Conscious Capitalist Group Foundation plans to reduce intergenerational poverty is through our Beyond the Walls Re-Entrepreneurship Program. (B.W.R.P.) focuses on opportunity youth in detention centers and correctional facilities and is designed to cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset. This program will run year-round and will give youth the opportunity to build and sustain passion based projects, learn the fundamentals of business management, and receive training in financial responsibility. It will involve basic problem solving simulations and case studies that will help them gain knowledge of what day to day operations look like as a business owner. The program will also include mentoring, professional development, social responsibility and community engagement.
The Youth Social Entrepreneurship Leadership Academy (Y.S.E.L.A.) will run in classrooms, after school programs, youth camps, college campuses, and community centers. It will provide opportunity youth with a semester-long comprehensive educational training on social entrepreneurship. These youth will learn how to take societal issues they are passionate about and turn them into social enterprises that add value to their communities. They will also receive assistance in transitioning to postsecondary education or the workforce. The training will include guest speakers, workshops, and field trips to local businesses. Participants will gain a wide array of skills including team building, leadership, career development, social innovation, business sustainability and community engagement.
